I don’t know what I was thinking, but perhaps I might just well have been really naive or something because I thought photography would just unfold as this amazing career, exotic locations, prize winning images gracing the walls of fine galleries, grateful over-the-moon clients knocking my doors down and sipping mocktails on the beach the rest of the time.
Not so.
It is a LOT of hard work. HARD YAKKA as is commonly said in my homeland for anything that is hard work.
But it’s work I am thoroughly whole heartily invested in.
I am invested in my education of the industry because I am so passionate about weddings. love . marriage… all that gooey stuff. Sometimes, as luck would have it, that investment in education means I get to spend some time chatting with some truly inspirational people, both in the photography world and the business world. Jasmine Star is one of the most highly sort after, inspirational speakers/photographers/business women I have ever had the good fortune to meet. Patricia and I went to an evening Jasmine hosted in San Francisco awhile ago. I loved meeting up with some people I had ‘met’ online before… I am such a face to face girl!! It was a fascinating evening, thrilling and informative… I have never been much a groupie with anything, but I will count myself on the J-Star bandwagon for here on!
Here are a few snaps from the night.
